A native of Vanleer TN, Tim Eads is a 33-year veteran of Law Enforcement who started his career with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 and currently serves as Chief of the Belle Meade Police Department.

During his time with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office, he had the opportunity to serve in many different capacities including as a Deputy, Shift Sergeant, Senior Investigator, Patrol Captain, Jail Captain and Chief Deputy.  

Tim is a graduate of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy.  He also is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Class 219.

During his years of service he has received numerous hours of training in the field of leadership, police operations, tactics and public safety in general.

Tim has served 14 years as Chief of Belle Meade's Police Department which consists of 15 Sworn Officers, 1 Detective, and 4 full-time along with 3 part-time Communications Officers.

A husband and father among many things, Tim continues to live in Dickson County where he himself was raised.
