A native of Vanleer TN, Tim Eads is a 38-year veteran of Law Enforcement who started his career with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office in 1987.
During his time with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office, he had the opportunity to serve in many different capacities including as a Deputy, Shift Sergeant, Senior Investigator, Patrol Captain, Jail Captain and Chief Deputy.

Tim is a graduate of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. He also is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Class 219.

During his years of service he has received numerous hours of training and certifications in the field of leadership, police operations, tactics and public safety in general.

In 2006, Tim was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Belle Meade. The department consisted of 15 Sworn Officers, 1 Detective, and 4 full-time and 3 part-time Communications Officers. He served there for 14 years, before being elected as the Sheriff of Dickson Co. in 2020.

A Christian, a devoted husband and father, Tim continues to live in Dickson County where he himself was raised.
